Henrietta Leavitt and other female astronomers, known as "computers", chart stars for a renowned astronomer. Henrietta is not allowed to touch a telescope or express original ideas, but she makes groundbreaking discoveries about the universe in her free time. Her discoveries lead to the ability to map the Milky Way and beyond.
