Into the Woods is a Stephen Sondheim musical that cleverly blends classic Brothers Grimm fairy tales (like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack & the Beanstalk, Rapunzel) into a single story, focusing on a childless Baker and his Wife who venture into the woods to reverse a witch's curse, leading them and other beloved characters to discover that "happily ever after" comes with unexpected, darker consequences in the second act. It explores themes of wishes, responsibility, and what happens after the fairy tale ending, as characters confront the real-life aftermath of their choices
